Perovskite photovoltaics is an exciting new technology that promises to be a game-changer for the solar industry. Perovskite based solar cells are simple to produce, yet demonstrate high conversion efficiency as well as a tuneable bandgap, opening up many potential applications.
Our research covers many aspects of perovskite technology including materials development, cell fabrication, advanced characterisation and modelling. We have a particular focus on the development of high efficiency perovskite-based tandem solar cells, which are considered the most promising path towards high efficiency (>30%) ultra-low cost solar technology.
