We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about engineering sharing the importance of and opportunities that engineering brings to high school students.
Engineers Without Borders (humanitarian engineering), Robogals (addressing gender imbalance in engineering), and Engage (reaching students in rural and regional areas) have decided to embark on a joint initiative.
We're looking for a project manager to deliver an in-depth and engaging educational experience for secondary school students in NSW, with a focus on those who are female and from regional backgrounds. We want to provide these students with an understanding of the relevance and viability of engineering and general university study to themselves, their career and society.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person who understands and aligns with the goals of EWB, Robogals, and Engage to be resourced and funded to pursue a significant and largely self-driven project. You will have the chance to coordinate with three not for profits to pull through a project of benefit to the community and the engineering discipline. And in case you hadn't realised, this will look great on your CV - this is a project where you interact with a variety of people, manage a broad range of tasks, and develop higher-level management skills.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative to learn and act, can both lead and work in a team, and has some experience organising events.
If you are interested in this position, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with one paragraph describing an event or project you've been part of in the past. We're interested in the initiative you took to make the event or project successful. Applications close 21st November.
More information about the role and the project are in the PDFs below.
If you have any questions, feel free to email the address above (email@example.com)
Good luck with any exams you may have!
