Project durationStart 01/04/2026 - 6 to 12 months
Posted date26 March 2026
Application deadline31 December 2026
Project description
This project offers students the opportunity to work under the joint supervision of Dr Bin Lu (Engineering) and Brad Riley (POLIS) to examine why EV adoption has lagged in these settings, and what this reveals about Australia’s energy transition.
The project will explore how remoteness, energy and charging infrastructure, socio economic conditions, mobility needs, and policy settings are interacting to shape the feasibility and appeal of EVs in the bush. Attention will be given to under represented contexts in the EV literature, including remote communities with distinct transport and energy system needs.
