Project proposals#

Project proposals are welcome from industry, government and community groups, or can also be student-generated.

Projects could be in one or more of the following areas:

• design, build and deliver projects
• consulting projects
• startup projects
• system optimisation problems
• open-ended explorations
• education and outreach
• research-supported projects
• student-led initiatives
• other negotiated projects

Students in Capstone Project have a wide variety of skills, and we endeavour to match the right students to each project through the Team Formation process. When you propose a project, you will be asked a series of questions, including timelines, background, skills, intellectual property, expenses and interaction.

Students in CECC programs often undertake a second degree, and students from other disciplines such as science, business, law, economics and art can also participate in Capstone Project.

We are always looking for engineering professionals who would like to work with our students. Mentoring a project team is a rewarding experience, but we also look for opportunities such as seminars, discussion topics and site visits. Please contact us if you would like to discuss opportunities.
