Project proposals#
Project proposals are welcome from industry, government and community groups, or can also be student-generated.
Projects could be in one or more of the following areas:
- design, build and deliver projects
- consulting projects
- startup projects
- system optimisation problems
- open-ended explorations
- education and outreach
- research-supported projects
- student-led initiatives
- other negotiated projects
Students in Capstone Project have a wide variety of skills, and we endeavour to match the right students to each project through the Team Formation process. When you propose a project, you will be asked a series of questions, including timelines, background, skills, intellectual property, expenses and interaction.
Students in CECC programs often undertake a second degree, and therefore have skills from other disciplines such as science, business, law, economics, arts and computing.
What does it take to be a Capstone Project Host?#
- Propose a project brief - this will be used to advertise your project to the students.
- Complete a Capstone project agreement with the ANU
- Attend our Project Selection Night - an online event in the first week of semester to meet prospective students.
- Regular communication and meetings with your team
- Provide feedback to the team through our audit process
- Provision of any training needed for the students to complete the project (if appropriate)
- Provision of resources needed for the students to complete the project (which they cannot obtain through the ANU or the Microgrant program).
- Have a representative attend the Project Showcase event towards the end of the project.
