Blaktasia X Bandalang music project
Blaktasia, Australia’s first Aboriginal-led mobile game, is a free mobile game currently in development. Play Blaktasia to restore the bush, encounter animals, unlock minigames, and defeat the corrupting force of the Murk in a First Nations fantasy world informed by Country.
Blaktasia is created and led by a team of First Nations artists, musicians and creative technologists working at GUCK.
Blaktasia’s Music Director Robert K Champion (Gubrun, Kokatha, Morning) is developing the game soundtrack and production sounds alongside Ripley Kavara, Elijah McDonald (Noongar, Pitta Pitta, Yamatji), Phoebe Watson (Gunditjmara), and Uncle Herb Patten (Gunai Kurnai) at Bandalang Residency using new technologies informed by traditional knowledge and skills.
