Ella Noah Bancroft is a proud Bunjalung woman, artist, writer, mentor, consultant and founder of The Returning Indigenous Corporation. Ella believes in the power of bringing communities into relation with each other and with Country. In this place of connectivity, Ella aims to address fundamental drivers of environmental and social instability.

Ella is a passionate advocate for the environment, social justice and system change. Through her writing and work Ella has been promoting re-wilding and the empowerment of women, as a way back to deep relationship with nature and decolonising of personal, social and ecological well-being.

Ella ‘s books ‘Sun and Moon’ (2022, Hardie Grant), and ‘It Takes Courage To Tell the Truth’ (2019, Self Published) were written with her family in mind. She describes these books as love letters to her family of the future and present.

Ella is an active member of her community, and is on the board for Women Up North, which is a Northern NSW service for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic or family violence or abuse.
