Interests

High efficiency silicon solar cells, industrial production of silicon solar cells.

Research

Dr Stückelberger works to improve the efficiency of silicon solar cells, including as primary investigator for the Physical vapour deposited passivating contacts for high efficiency silicon solar cells and Novel approach for the integration of carrier-selective passivating contacts on the front of industrial silicon solar cells projects.

Biography

Dr Josua Stückelberger holds a Masters degree in Physics from ETH Zurich finishing with a thesis on Kesterite solar cells. He received his PhD in Material Science from EPF Lausanne on work about transparent passivating contacts in 2018. The wish to contribute to a cleaner energy solution guided him through his positions at EMPA, HSLU and ETH Lausanne and brought him to ANU to the team of Professor Daniel Macdonald in 2018. His work has led to several contributions at international conferences and many publications in peer reviewed journals.
