Your Value Proposition: a 1 hour workshop to help you better define and communicate your research idea for funding

Value Proposition Workshop for Research Ideas

Do you want more funding for your research?

Are you hoping to “pitch” your idea for a Grand Challenge or Innovation Institute?

Are you wanting to communicate your research better to industry?

As part of the ANU Strategic Plan, the University has released a Global Challenges Scheme where they will invest funds into addressing five significant global challenges. The aim is to attract creative high risk/high reward interdisciplinary proposals that might not attract immediate support from more traditional funding mechanisms. Of course, this will also need to demonstrate outcomes which can include collaborations with industry and government. As part of the Challenges Scheme, shortlisted ANU teams will need to present a “public pitch.” This workshop will give you the starting point you need.

Even if you’re not entering a Global Challenge or looking to set up an Innovation Institute, this workshop can help you clearly articulate the value of your research to your supervisors, external funding partners and anyone you meet!
